Beach House – Silver Soul

Let’s go slow…

Beach House reinvent here the slow of the 21th century in  way. The music is just so beautiful and the guitar takes you to another level where everything goes in slowmotion.

Well the video is in slowmotion itself.. Directed by Victoria Legrand who’s actually the lead singer of Beach House so I guess the loop is done. Great job!

Battles – Ice Cream (Feat. Matias Aguayo)

Another amazing video by CANADA!

Remember CANADA? The great team from Barcelona who directed “Bombay” by El Guincho et “Invisible Light” by Scissor Sister. They did it again, a new video inspired by dreams and completely out of the loop.. Very interesting content, and new effects.. We can notice the improvements but I think they need to find something new now. It’s very good in a way because their style is quickly recognizable which is not easy in this artistic domain but they should try to go further  or mix it with other directions..

Battles (Warp Records), released this new track from their forthcoming album “Gloss Drop” to be released June 6/7. I really like their energy, go see them in live if you can, and this track is another example of it… Enjoy!

Lykke Li – Sadness is a Blessing

Amazingly beautiful and inspiring…

Here is the new video for the track “Sadness is a Blessing” by Lykke Li. This video is really full of emotions. I like the way they tried to show the gap between the two words of being “normal” and being “free”.

Not that alcohol can make you free but at least, can help going through the social boundaries. It shows as well the paradox of the artist : making life beautiful, making other people’s life interesting by giving them some emotions and at the same time being pulled appart for not being a brick in the wall.

Wise Blood – B.I.G. E.G.O.

Interesting track, perfect to go the beach..

I can really see myself grabbing a surfboard with friends and listening to this on our way to the beach.. Though, the director David Parker had another idea for the video… Featuring a beautiful model, Daphne Guinness, wandering around to finally discover what happened outside..

Pure beauty in Korea!

This is smooth, this is flowing.. This is “Lonely C’ by Soul Clap on their latest project: WolfLamb vs. Soul Clap

To be honest, first time I listened to it I didn’t really get it but after the second try I got completely seduced and addicted after the third time, this is a really great production.

Breathtaking video! Amazing!

WOOT! Been a long I haven’t been that amazed watching a music video… Like if I  was a child again, completely caught and hypnotized by the beauty of this majestic video…

Listening to the EP “Iron” now, don’t expect to have such a majesty on the other tracks but stil very interesting to listen, something new!

Woodkid is actually the music alter ego of the video director himself Yoann Lemoine.

Stantz – Moment Without Interval (Video by Silence Please)

DJ with fluid mechanic visualisations…

Here is what we woud maybe have if a DJ would be able to bend fluids like a jedi according to its music… An interesting effect with a great render by Silence Please. It’s on a track by Stantz, who has produced a pretty neat electronic track here which goes perfectly with the video.

tUnE-yArDs – Bizness

Finally the video for one of the most amazing band  to watch nowadays!

tUnE-yArDs entered in my watch list at the first second I’ve listened to their music. They are brilliantly creative, come from Oakland (California) and released already a (great) album in 2009: Bird-Brains.

This new track “Bizness” really brings something magic, and when you add the astonishing voice of Merrill Garbus, wow! A nice video, as sweet as the track, with great choreography . Extracted from their second album “w h o k i l l” soon to be released on April 18th.

A video directed by Mimi Cave. Label: 4AD.

Hypnotic video for the new Wagon Christ track!

Yes, Wagon Christ is back for a new album which has just been released: Toomorrow. Also known as Luke Vibert, he’s one the genius at Ninja Tunes. Disclaimer, his music can blow your mind. If there was a teleport today, that would be his music, it literally takes you to other world where everyone is happy and keep smiling all the time! :) One of my favorite by him is The Funnies which is completely sick, and you know what, as a surprise I’ll put it here as well so you get 2 awesome tracks today!

Falty DL – Hip Love (Jamie XX Remix)

Jamie XX is a name you need to remember!

Since The XX, Jamie XX has been doing more and more remix and all of them are very good quality ones.. He doesn’t just remix the track but really creates a new one out of a completely different original one. I can’t wait to listen to his next production.

Go and get you an energy cocktail!

Here is a full track of energy by The Dø! Interesting colors and render in the video which goes well with the track. I particularly like the drums on it which are giving a lot of deepness to the track.

Inspiring video on a beautiful track..

A very much underrated video we’ve got here, by the way I missed it as well whereas it’s been released a few months ago… Now is the time to catch up! (thanks to tara btw) It’s another video by Michael Robinson who you may know with his beautiful work on the music video “Excuses” by Bibio.. A great piece of art that make reminds us that you don’t need an expensive HD Slomotion 3dification camera to make beautiful production. Enjoy!

The Strokes – Under Cover Of Darkness

The Strokes are Back!

Being quiet a fan of The Strokes I couldn’t skip such a news! So here is, for your great pleasure, the new video of “Under Cover of Darkness“. This track is from their forthcoming album “Angles“.

To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed by their video, I let yourself make your a point about it but I think that for such a great band and since it’s been a long time we’ve not seen them they could have worked more on its concept.

Radiohead – Lotus Flower

This is Art, with a big capital A.

Far from the noise of the trends, marketing, education and others brainwashing things… We have here a man, who gets naked in front of us, showing us his feelings and how the music can have the power of moving his whole body. We all have this in us, this is why we dance when we are alone or we sing under the shower. Doing it like this, in public and being such a public figure as Thom York is just beautiful. There must be so much pressure from the society when you are an artist like that and seeing that whatever we say, whoever we are, this Man stays free in his mind and in his behavior. No shades, no layers, no effects; pure intensity and beauty of the Artist getting naked. To me, being an Artist is exactly that : digging into your soul till you find really who you are yourself, what is really inside of you. Whatever you could do, you know this thing is in you, you got it. Finally you can accept it, explore it and show it to the world.
