Solar Bears – She Was Coloured In

Inspiring video on a beautiful track..

A very much underrated video we’ve got here, by the way I missed it as well whereas it’s been released a few months ago… Now is the time to catch up! (thanks to tara btw) It’s another video by Michael Robinson who you may know with his beautiful work on the music video “Excuses” by Bibio.. A great piece of art that make reminds us that you don’t need an expensive HD Slomotion 3dification camera to make beautiful production. Enjoy!

Claynation

Beautiful stopmotion animation made with clay…

A really great work of animation in this video. Like the freshness of this campaign which use a medium we are not used to in order to create the animation instead of using the widely animation tools used again and again like After Effects. I don’t say I don’t support After Effect (I use it!) but I like the fact that this campaign bet on a new animation style.. I bet we are gonna see more and more this kind of handmade animation over the year coming.

Looney Tunes – Coyote Falls (HQ 1080p!)

Yes you read well, Coyote Falls in 1080p!

Just found this by random and couldn’t resist to share this with you guys! I don’t know if it’s a test or if Coyote Falls is gonna come back on our screen in super great quality for real but that would be awesome for nowadays kids! I used to be a big fan of this show when I was a kid and it’s great to see that they managed to keep the great substance and humor of it in this new graphic version all reshaped with our current animation technologies.. Enjoy and have fun kids! ;)

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore

A beautiful film by Moonbot Studios..

Poetic and poignant, here are the two words which come to me to describe this film. A really impressive piece of art!

Inspired, in equal measures, by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, “Morris Lessmore” is a story of people who devote their lives to books and books who return the favor.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a poignant, humorous allegory about the curative powers of story. Using a variety of techniques (miniatures, computer animation, 2D animation) award winning author/ illustrator William Joyce and Co-director Brandon Oldenburg present a hybrid style of animation that harkens back to silent films and M-G-M Technicolor musicals. “Morris Lessmore” is old fashioned and cutting edge at the same time.

And if you want to know more about the project don’t miss the making of.

梦路: Mènglù (delusion ways)

Fish-eye, Mirror effect and other delicacies for your eyes…

Beautiful trip in Shangai flying on the waves of Teebs (the very secret genius at Brainfeeder)… For your info, Brainfeeder is nothing else than the label created by Flying Lotus(!).

梦路: Mènglù is a visual experience of the urban chaos, an abstract trip in the streets of Shanghai.

Directed by Frederic Henriques and Jean Brice Hubert for FLIPMOOD.

INFLUENCERS by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson

“Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, Are the ones who do.”

Very inspiring documentary by R+I Creative, written and directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johson.

A beautiful snapshot of New York and a focus on these particular people who have the ability to inspire us and our world. A refreshing video which might give you wings today!

Cause as Cat Stevens was singing this on the soundtrack of Harold & Maude (by the way EPIC movie you absolutely need to watch!), never forget :

” Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
‘Cause there’s a million things to be
You know that there are “

Just in case, here is the French version with subtitles...

Creative Minds Take the Power in Crazy Times…

A beautiful video by California is a Place.

Some of them are full of black water. Others have become graveyards for old lawn furniture and rodent carcasses. They are shaped like jelly beans and manufactured by companies named Sunny Side and Champagne. Once upon a time, Fresno was the California Dream. Own a car. Own a house. Own a pool. Everyone wanted it and the wonderful world of credit made it all possible. But now, with the foreclosure monster running wild, the dream is dry. Thousands of pools are festering in the hot Central Valley sun. For most people this is tragic. But for some, it’s an opportunity.
